IN THE WIND P24 HAZAN AND BOURDAIN: A MATCH MADE IN COOLNESS HEAVEN A nthony Bourdain is one of the most prolific television personalities this country has to of- fer. More known for drinking strange liquors in far off lands while pairing them with equally strange experiences and foods on shows like CNN's Parts Unknown, he has a new venture in Raw Craft, a show that looks deep into the culture of hand built specials that's presented (of course), by whisky distillery, Balvenie. In this particular episode of Raw Craft, Bourdain meets up with Max Hazan of Hazan Motorworks, one of Los Angeles' most talented custom bike builders. Max is responsible for championing a style of bike more likely to have been seen in the 1930s, primarily using KTM single-cylinder ma- chines wrapped in stunning tubular steel chassis. Take 10 minutes out of your day to check this little video out. Never mind it's a rolling advertise- ment for Balvenie—the show is produced beauti- fully and highlights not only Bourdain's well-known love of motorcycles, but Hazan's incredible skill at crafting them. CN BARCIA FILLING IN FOR MILLSAPS J ustin Barcia will fill in for Davi Millsaps on the Monster Energy/ Knich/ Yamaha Factory Rac- ing Team while Millsaps recovers from an elbow injury. As of now, Barcia will represent the team for at least the first six rounds of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. According to Keith McCarty, Motorsports Rac- ing Division Manager for Yamaha Motor Corpora- tion, U.S.A., "We initially hoped that Davi's frac- tured elbow wouldn't require surgery, but it's been a particularly difficult injury, so he had surgery last week in order to take care of some lingering issues. We're hope- ful that the procedure will improve the timeline for his recovery." "Unfortunately, I pretty much shat- tered my elbow when I crashed last month, and Dr. Viola in Colorado per- formed surgery, November 8, to repair the damage," said Millsaps. "Dr. Viola said that everything went well with the procedure, and he's confident that my elbow will be 100%. I hope to be back on the bike as soon as possible." CN Justin Barcia will fill in for the injured Davi Millsaps for at least the first six rounds of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
