VOL. 54 ISSUE 46 NOVEMBER 21, 2017 P21 then grabbed the holeshot in the SX1 Finale (main event) and was never headed. Wilson's teammate Zach Osborne kept Musquin honest throughout the main event on his way to sec- ond place on his 450 (which he won't be racing full-time in the U.S. until outdoors in May), while Wilson was third and Seely was fourth, after recovering from a first-turn fall. Behind them came a slew of fast Frenchman, with Cedric Soubeyras, Fabien Izoird, Jordi Tixier, Thomas Ramette, Xavier Boog, Nicolas Aubin, and Charles Lefrancois rounding out the top 11. Geico Honda's RJ Hampshire was 12th. On night two, Superpole win- ner Musquin managed to win the first Sprint race over Osborne, Wilson and Seely, but Seely took Musquin down in the second Sprint race after a race-long battle between the two. However, once again, in the SX Finale, Musquin got the holeshot, and although Seely pressured him early, Musquin eventually pulled away to a comfortable margin and took the win over Seely, Wilson and Osborne, who had a ter- rible start in the last race of the weekend. Fifth on night two went to Geico Honda's Jeremy Martin, who injured his wrist and had to sit out the first night, but improved steadily on night two with a finish outside the top 10 in the first Sprint, ninth in the second Sprint, and then fifth in the finale. For the second year in a row, Musquin was officially crowned the King of Paris, with Seely and Wilson rounding out the podium. Osborne finished just off the podium in fourth overall. In the Team Classification, which pits France against the USA, France took the victory with 102 points to the USA's 116. And in the Prince of Paris competition (the 250cc class), Suzuki-mounted Yannis Irsuti took the crown with a 1-3 score on the two nights, with Thomas Do (Honda, 2-2) finishing sec- ond overall and American Tyler Bowers (Kawasaki, 4-1) taking third.
