VOL. 54 ISSUE 44 NOVEMBER 7, 2017 P53
The V4 will have Ducati's
counter-rotating crankshaft,
the same as Dovizioso's bike in
MotoGP.
Ducati is debuting what it calls
the "Front Frame," which they
claim allows them to separate
torsional and lateral rigidity in a
way impossible on the outgoing
1299, and helps the Panigale
better absorb crappy road sur-
faces.
The V4 will come with conven-
tional Sachs suspension, while
the V4 S and V4 Speciale will get
Ohlins' latest electronic suspen-
sion under the Ohlins Smart EC
2.0 banner. Brembo has also
come to the party with their new
Stylema four-piston calipers,
which is an evolution of the M50
calipers seen on the previous
1299 Panigale
Further to the electronics, the
V4 gets a revised Ducati Traction
Control system, Slide Control,
Launch Control, Wheelie Control,
Quick Shift, Engine Brake Con-
trol and the Ohlins suspension (S
and Speciale), all accessed by a
brand new five inch TFT dash.
This is just a teaser of what
the Panigale V4 is all about. For
