onda rolled out its
long-awaited redo of
its iconic GL1800 Gold
Wing luxury tourer. The 2018
Gold Wing, arguably the most
important model for Honda,
has been in the making for
more than five years, and the
Gold Wing team of design-
ers and engineers were very
happy to finally get the chance
to show the world what they've
been working on for all these
years, doing so in an elaborate
unveiling in Santa Barbara,
California.
The Gold Wing is all-new,
and we mean all-new. Not a
single part is carried over from
the previous 'Wing, which saw
its last major overhaul in 2001.
Even though the '18 GL1800
has an all-new and more mod-
ern look, to the eye it's still very
much a Gold Wing.
The new 2018
Honda Gold Wing is
lighter, slimmer and
better handling.
