IN THE WIND P38 BRAYTON WINS ADELAIDE AUSTRALIAN SUPERCROSS J ustin Brayton, of the Penrite Honda Racing Team, contin- ued to dominate the SX1 class in round three of the 2017 Australian Supercross Championship at the Adelaide Motorsport Park in Adelaide, October 28. Brayton, the defending champ, was in a class all his own as he won everything in sight, includ- ing his heat race, Dash for Cash and the main event, which he led from start to finish. Brayton has won all three rounds so far of the six-round series. Dylan Long (CDR Yamaha) and Kade Mosig (DPH Motorsport Yamaha) filled out the SX1 podium. Australian National MX Cham- pion Dean Ferris (CDR Yamaha) was fourth after getting off to a bad start, while former Austra- lian champ Dan Reardon (Mega Fuels Monster Energy Kawasaki) was fifth. Wilson Todd (DPH Motorsport Yamaha) won the SX2 main, tak- ing the checkered flag six sec- onds ahead of defending champ Jackson Richardson (Serco Yamaha). Dylan Wills (Dyson Mo- torsport Husqvarna) was third. American Gavin Faith, Bray- ton's teammate, was fifth despite riding with an injured wrist. Both Americans, Brayton and Faith, lead the way in the championship in their respective classes. Brayton leads Ferris by 13 points in SX1, and Faith leads Todd by just two points in SX2. The next round is the popular AUS-X Open doubleheader in Syd- ney, November 11-12, where things might get a little tougher for Brayton with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Jason Anderson and Dean Wilson expecting to suit up. CN Justin Brayton won the Adelaide round of the 2017 Australian Supercross Series.
