a two-stroke, or racing a two-
stroke on a supercross track. It's
completely different. Supercross
on a two-stroke is a whole other
beast, and I knew I had the
advantage coming in. I was very,
very confident." CN

the second run, where he kept
Steinke honest but came up just
short at the finish.
"I definitely don't have any
broken ribs," Mac exclaimed,
unprompted, as he awaited his
time on the podium, finishing
second overall.
But it was Steinke who took
the win and the $10,000 that
went with it. And he called it
ahead of time.
"I said it on a social-media
post before the race that these
idiots forget that I consistently
ride and race a two-stroke!"
Steinke said. "It's a whole
different ballgame with riding
a two-stroke, or riding a two-
stroke outdoors, versus racing
fine, but it just ruined my runs. It
ruined my
chances of winning!"
Sipes was aiming to win the
overall after qualifying first both
in the Two-Stroke class as well
as the 250cc class, but it wasn't
to be.
With Sipes securing a podium
spot, it came down to two almost
mythical characters, with Stank
Dog facing off against Ronnie
Mac.
Mac got the holeshot in the
first run, but as Steinke closed
in, Mac dragged a foot off of
his footpeg on a jump face and
went down hard. He was slow
to get up, but he did manage to
get back to the starting line for
