DIBRINO WINS SUPERHOOLIGAN CHAMPIONSHIP
A
ndy DiBrino (Harley-Da-
vidson) wrapped up the
2017 RSD Super Hooligan
National Championship and with
it, a brand new Indian Scout
FTR750 flat track racer valued at
$50,000 after an action-packed
series final at the Moto Beach
Classic at Bolsa Chica State
Beach, California, October 14.
The Moto Beach Classic saw
thousands of spectators over
the day crammed into an event
that featured an art show, street
bike stunting, custom bike show,
bands and flat track racing, with
DiBrino taking a safe third in the
A Main final, three places ahead
of former AMA GNC Champion
Joe Kopp (Triumph) to take the
series win by just a single point,
169-168. The A Main final victory
went to former road racer Frankie
Chase Garcia (Ducati), in his first
Super Hooligan event.
Garcia started from the inside
pole position and got to the front
at turn one of lap two, and man-
aged to hold the lead right to the
end with Mikey Hili (Harley-David-
son) taking second and DiBrino
third. Hili had earlier taken a
popular victory in the Dash For
Cash event.
Cycle News also participated
in the Moto Beach Classic with Road Test Editor
Rennie Scaysbrook taking second in the B Final
on a custom built Yamaha SCR950. We'll have a
photo feature on the Moto Beach Classic and our
SCR950 coming soon in Cycle News. CN
