focus despite the wait and the
interviews. He knew he needed
a start in the final go-around if he
was going to take the million dol-
lars home. And he did. He got
an amazing jump out of the gate,
grabbed the lead, hit the joker
lane, and then took off with the
win to take a million dollars.
"I just had a great start and
that was the key tonight," Mus-
quin said. "To get a holeshot and
try to go fast. But yeah, to be
honest, in my head, I was just
thinking, get a start around top
three and then what to do. It was

motos," Musquin said. "It's
pretty unreal to go out and win
all three. So yeah, before that

and Musquin had to maintain his

the rest of the event.
With Tomac out, not only did
Musquin lose the toughest com-
petitor in the field, but the odds
of a two-time winner became
almost nil; Justin Barcia wasn't
much of a threat to win the event
in his first race aboard his priva-
teer Honda.
Musquin went on to win the
main event, then did likewise
with a holeshot in the second
main. And that's when the pres-
sure began to mount. With two
races in his pocket, he knew that
one more main-event win would
land him one million dollars.
"Well first of all, before the
weekend, I was not even think-
