VOL. 54 ISSUE 40 OCTOBER 10, 2017 P57 ROBERT FINISHES 'EM OFF R ed Bull KTM's Taylor Robert continued his domi- nant run in the 2017 Rocky Mountain ATV-MC WORCS Series, presented by Maxxis and Dirt Bike, scoring his fourth consecutive victory during the season finale at Adelanto Stadium. The win, however, wasn't enough to prevent Gary Sutherlin, fifth on the day, from wrapping up his second WORCS Championship. The season-end race was held at Adelanto Stadium, formerly the home of the Mavericks Minor League base- ball team. The race facility was comprised of three differ- ent circuits that were linked up, and featured a little bit of everything from deep sand whoops to motocross-style jumps to Endurocross log sections. And Robert had all of them mastered. Robert grabbed the lead in the first lap and never looked back. He was never seriously challenged the rest of the way, finishing off what was a perfect season in WORCS, for him. He won every race he competed in. Unfortunately an injury forced him to sit out four races earlier in the championship and he was unable to over- come such a deficit, despite winning the other six races. Robert finished out the year fourth in the championship. TAYLOR ROBERT CAPS OFF SEASON WITH ADELANTO WIN, BUT GARY SUTHERLIN IS CHAMP! STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY HARLEN FOLEY
