IN THE WIND P30 YAMAHA SIGNS MILLSAPS Y amaha has signed Davi Millaps who will join Cooper Webb on its factory supercross/motocross team. He will be making his Yamaha debut at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, October 14. "First of all, I'm super excited to be rac- ing for the Yamaha Factory team," Millsaps said. "I've been doing a lot of testing on the new bike, and it's coming along great. I couldn't be happier. I'm training hard for the Monster Energy Cup, and I'll definitely be ready on October 14th. And, how cool is it that I'll be running my signature num- ber 18 on the '18 Yamaha in 2018? Can't wait!" Webb will be in attendance at the Mon- ster Energy Cup but is still recovering from thumb surgery and won't be suiting up. CN HILL TO JGRMX/SUZUKI W est 250SX Champion Justin Hill will start the 2018 season on his third different team in as many years. Hill, who won the 2018 250SX West title on the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Team, will ride yellow through 2019. Hill is now a member of the AutoTrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Rac- ing Team. (In 2015, he rode for KTM.) "It's an honor to be a part of the AutoTrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Rac- ing effort," Hill said. "I have known [team manager] Jeremy Albrecht for a while now, and have always respected the JGRMX program. I was blown away after taking a tour of the team's headquarters in Huntersville, NC. It's amazing how they invest so much time and money into finding solutions in an effort to gain a competitive edge. I knew immediately that I needed to be involved with them." Hill is no stranger to Suzuki, having raced on an RM-Z250 and RM-Z450 as an amateur in 2010. "I won my first big-bike championship on a Suzuki and have fond memories of the brand," Hill said. "Comfort on the bike, as well as confidence in the team, are crucial to a rider's success. JGR expressed their faith by offering me a multi-year deal that extends into the 450 class. I'm looking forward to defending my 250 West Supercross title on the Suzuki RM-Z250, making a big push outdoors in what will be my last year in the 250 class, and then taking the pathway up to the 450 class with JGRMX in 2019." CN Davi Millsaps has found a new home on the Yamaha Factory supercross/motocross team. Justin Hill has joined the AutoTrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Team. He'll move up to the 450 class in 2019.
