And Husqvarna graciously denied our inquiries to start experi-
menting with motocross model base gaskets, cylinder heads,
etc. In short, we did not modify the bike. We didn't even put a
pipe on it. But that makes us want to so much more!
You can read a lot about our first impressions from the
TE250i in our First Test. And most of those haven't changed
even with a more aggressive power valve spring and a
52-tooth rear sprocket installed. Those changes did what you
might expect them to; the Husqvarna's power was delivered
a bit sooner and the six-speed transmission was tightened up
considerably, helping the competitive heartbeat of this ma-
chine wake up a little. Also, technical terrain conquering went
