Honda-mounted Thompson's
issue which he described: "We
were right there running second
place behind Eric Yorba. Com-
ing up into the rock section, I
ended up folding my rear rotor
in half so it ended the race right
there."
After a disappointing fifth
place at round five, Stewart
knew he had to podium to keep
his title hopes alive. "I had a de-
cent start—I believe third place,"
the Lucas Oil/Maxxis/Fly Racing
CRF450RX rider said. "I tried to
make my way through the pack
and just could not find a groove.
"I know Blayne and Eric had
some bad luck and that's really
unfortunate for them because it
was their race today, at least Eric's
race to win today. A super-big
bummer, but I capitalized on it and
came out second. I wish I had a
little more time to try and catch
Zach, but he was on fire today."
Unofficially, Bell now leads
Stewart 154-130.
As for Seeds, the FMF/
Maxima/Shoei-backed KX450F
rider revealed, "I've been sick
for probably the last month and
a half, I think, and I don't know
what it is; I can't figure it out, but

worked his way from seventh to
land on the podium for the first
time this season. Unofficially,
that moves him up to fourth in
points behind Yorba, 95-93,
with Thompson dropping from
third to fifth at 91.
Perry Concepts Honda-

fourth, just six seconds ahead
of Ox Motorsports Honda rider

Alias KTM-mounted Michael Del
Fante claimed sixth followed
by CST Tires/DDC/Fly Racing
KTM 250 XC rider Mitch Ander-
son, who won WCGP Pro II for
the first time this season. Fellow

than a minute.
