10. Joan Pau Segura (Gas)
(Husqvarna) making a late-race
pass on Kepple to take the posi-
tion. Hart was one of the riders
involved in a crash with Haaker,
and he was happy to recover for
a solid finish to back up the third
place he earned at the Las Ve-
gas opener. Kepple finished the
first lap in sixth and rode among
the top five for the entire race on
his GasGas.
Tremaine, who lives in nearby
Gardnerville, showed a lot of
speed during the night but a few
crashes pushed him back to
sixth in the final.
Geoff Aaron rode a steady
main event to finish seventh on
his GasGas. Mason Ottersberg
then crashed. Second is good.
I haven't led a race like that for a
while so I'm happy."
As for Haaker, he was satis-
fied to still work back to the
podium despite several crashes.
"The track was fast and nothing
too difficult but things came out
of nowhere on you," said Haak-
er. "The first one was my fault on
the first lap. You couldn't tell if
somebody was going to turn into
the joker lane and I plowed two
people there and went over the
bars. I think I crashed at least
five times so it was good to get
back up to the podium."
Two of the rising stars of the
sport battled for fourth with Hart
Shelby Turner won the Women's main.
