2018 YAMAHA STAR ELUDER FIRST LOOK P52 T he bagger wars are well and truly heating up for 2018 with the arrival of the new Yamaha Star Eluder. The Eluder is basically a stripped back Star Venture, the latest tourer to be featured in the Star lineup that was released earlier this year and comes with the same 1854cc (113c.i) V-twin that cranks out a solid 126 lb-ft of torque. Inside the twin sit forged alloy pistons and a twin counter- balancer to smooth down the excessive vibrations, with the torque being transmitted to the tire via a six-speed overdrive transmission that allows for the Eluder to cruise at 75 mph at just 2750 rpm in sixth gear. Yamaha's fitted their Chip- Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) that gives the rider two different throttle modes, and there's also traction control and cruise con- trol for long days in the saddle. Suspension is taken care of 2018 Yamaha Star Eluder
