"They're very consistent; that
was the key, to pick a team that
was very consistent and [able to]
work together.
"We are as fast or maybe
faster than two of the Australian
girls, but they have one very
fast rider—Tayla Jones—and she
makes up the difference in that
they are still kind of creeping
away from us a little bit."
Indicative of the potential the
American girls have was their
performance on the final two
days when—as a team—they
bested the Aussies. Richards
even won two tests on day five
and capped off the week by
winning the WWT final moto, her
motocross and WORCS back-
ground showcasing itself before
an international audience.
CLUB
Seven American trios entered a
huge ISDE Club team field. How
huge? How about 167 teams?
Most, of course, were from
France and just out for fun, but
a significant number included
some heavy hitters. As is often
the case, several European
teams featured former World Tro-
phy riders and, naturally, those
