1. Jeffrey Herlings (KTM) 2-1
2. Eli Tomac (Kaw) 1-3
3. Antonio Cairoli (KTM) 3-2
4. Tim Gajser (Hon) 4-7
down his neck, the two chased
Hampshire down, but ultimately
the likable Aussie came up just
one second short of Hampshire
at the finish.
"I just stole one of Weston
Peick's energy gels out of the
JGR truck! I needed it! Cheers
for that, Weston!" Lawrence
said. "I just rode on Australian
heart and pride and gave it
everything I had so I might get
up on the podium. So, I'm super-
pumped. But to be honest, I'm
pretty rooted."
The second moto represented
the best moto finish of Lawrence's
young GP career, and second
overall is also a career-best.
Hampshire, Lawrence and Covington
made up the MX2 podium.
