IN THE WIND P38 VOLKSWAGEN BALKING AT SELLING DUCATI Is Volkswagen changing its mind about selling Ducati? KAWASAKI ANNOUNCES 2018 NINJA H2S K awasaki released the model year 2018 Ninja H2s. The bikes will return in three variations: H2, H2R and H2 Carbon. Like last year the H2 Carbon will be offered in limited numbers. MSRP is $28,000 for the H2, $31,000 for the H2 Carbon, and $55,000 for the non- street-legal H2R. CN Kawasaki's full range of H2s will return for 2018, including the H2 Carbon (pictured). V olkswagen's supervisory board does not back a plan to sell Ducati, even though several companies showed interest when Volkswagen initially floated the idea in April. According to Reuters, five bidders were on a short list of potential buyers, including the Benetton family. Ducati reportedly received offers between $1.52 billion and $1.76 billion. How- ever, half of VW's 20-member supervi- sory board rejected the sale of Ducati unless there are compelling financial reasons. VW's six-month financial re- sults show the company doesn't need more money, according to Reuters. CN
