t's been a year since Honda
debuted its highly anticipated
rebuild of the CRF450R. And
with any motorcycle major redo,
success isn't necessarily auto-
matic—the 2010 Yamaha YZ450F
is a good example of that. That
year, the YZ saw big changes. It
was indeed an improved motor-
cycle, but, for many, not all of
the improvements were as big as
some of the changes it took on.
Yamaha spent the next couple
of years tweeking and refining
the YZ450F and, as a result, has
been molding it into one of the
class' premier bikes, especially
the last few years. Even Honda
experienced a similar situation
with its now infamous 2009
CRF450R. The 2008 CRF450R
