or the second time this season, White Alligator Suzuki teammates
Jerry Savoie and LE Tonglet met in an NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle
final, and this time, Savoie got the better of his young protégé with a
convincing win at the Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota. Savoie,
the reigning NHRA champion, reversed the outcome of the last all-team
final in Atlanta when he rode to a 6.846 to beat Tonglet's 6.910 effort. It
was the eighth career win for Savoie and his second in 2017. All told, the
WAR team has dominated, winning seven of nine events this season.
