MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS ROUND 11 / AUGUST 19, 2017 BUDDS CREEK RACEWAY / BUDDS CREEK, MARYLAND P64 while. I was blowing it. Even last weekend, after I crashed... It was tough. I actually had Nick Wey come to Florida and work with me, and man, it made such a difference. Mitch, Bones, Ian, Zach and everyone at Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, and Bruce and Dan at Kawasaki, it's an unbelievable feeling, and a dream come true for me. I'm just glad to be here." The win also boosted Ciancia- rulo up to third in the points, just in front of his injured teammate Savatgy, with one round left to run next Saturday in Crawfords- ville, Indiana. CN 450MX 1. Justin Bogle (Suz) 1-3 2. Marvin Musquin (KTM) 2-4 3. Eli Tomac (Kaw) 7-1 4. Blake Baggett (KTM) 5-2 5. Cole Seely (Hon) 4-8 6. Weston Peick (Suz) 8-6 7. Cooper Webb (Yam) 9-7 8. Matthew Bisceglia (Suz) 6-10 9. Christian Craig (Hon) 10-9 10. Dean Wilson (Hus) 16-5 250MX 1. Adam Cianciarulo (Kaw) 1-2 2. Zach Osborne (Hus) 8-1 3. Shane McElrath (KTM) 4-3 4. Jeremy Martin (Hon) 2-6 5. Aaron Plessinger (Yam) 5-4 6. RJ Hampshire (Hon) 3-7 7. Colt Nichols (Yam) 7-5 8. Chase Sexton (Hon) 9-9 9. Kyle Cunningham (Suz) 6-12 10. Mitchell Harrison (Yam) 11-10 Joey Savatgy injured his foot when he collided with a lapper during moto one at Unadilla a week before Budds Creek. He won the moto, but was limping bad and it ham- pered him in the mud in moto two. At Budds Creek, Savatgy high-sided down the downside of a jump and landed on the same leg, taking him out for the day. Don't be too sur- prised if he sits out Indiana, too, as the championship is over and he'd be battling with his own Pro Circuit Kawasaki teammate, Adam Ciancia- rulo, in points. Speaking of teammates at Pro Cir- cuit, it sounds like Martin Davalos is going to be headed back there for a second chance in 2018. He raced for PC until switching to Husqvarna a couple years ago, but PC had good luck recently with Jus- tin Hill also leaving the team, then coming back in 2017 and winning the 250SX West. Honda's Ken Roczen gave an update over the weekend on how he's healing up from the mangled left arm he suffered in his massive crash at Anaheim II in January. "I have great memories here, last year, winning the championship, so coming here this year was important for me," Roczen said on why he came out to Budds Creek. "Especially supporting the team. I'm overall pretty healthy. Obviously the injury was very severe, and I'm doing a lot of strengthening to the wrist, to the elbow, getting that bad boy back working, working on the shoulder a lot. My arm was pretty much dead for a few months, so it's really hard to get mobility back in the joints. But overall, I'm happy, I'm walking, I'm around my team, I start- ed riding again... So, there's not a whole lot more I could ask for." But he says what's next for him is to get ready to race again. "For me, right now, I'm doing a lot of strengthen- ing on that left, not just arm, but shoulder and everything that comes with it. I slowly started riding again on Thursday and I did some starts, and it was amazing to be on the gate with the boys. It's been a long time, so other than that, getting my stitches pulled Wednesday, and full speed ahead... Getting back to riding, and getting that stronger still, working on mobility... It takes a long time. The elbow is a little bit of a pain to get back mobile. So, I'm going to start riding probably next week again, and then get ready for my next race." The winner of the Budds Creek 450MX National, Justin Bogle, doesn't have a ride for next year. "We're working on it," Bogle said. "I have an incredible team behind me right now. I want to finish out the season strong for those guys." But behind the scenes, Bogle has Ricky Carmichael on his side, trying to help secure Bogle a 450cc ride. After winning at Budds Creek, the phone should be ringing any time. Briefly...
