To create a helmet best suited to the unique needs
of motorcycling, Arai first developed a company
culture where every employee has a passion for
making a better helmet. With that foundation,
Arai developed proprietary materials, such as
Super Fibers, which
have 30% more tensile
strength than standard
fiberglass. To maximize
the true potential of
these special fibers,
Arai created new resins
to bond them together
more firmly and
completely. Arai mixes these specific resins in-
house to produce a stronger yet lighter shell. We
believe the protective needs of off-road riding are
no less, and so we made the VX-PRO4 using these
same materials.
The complexity of building an Arai shell is not easy,
or inexpensive, but we believe it is necessary to
provide as much protection as possible, and the
passion and skill of every Arai employee makes it
possible.
