Brad Baker, who was recovering
from problems in his qualifying
race that had left him with a back
row start.

leader Jared Mees (Indian Mo-
torcycle/Rogers Racing Indian
Scout FTR750) was second, but
already losing ground. Mees had
his hands full as Sturgis TT win-
ner Briar Bauman (Zanotti Rac-
ing/Rod Lake Racing Kawasaki)
was close behind.

fourth in a battle with Harley-Da-
Wiles' 13th win ties him with
the "Prince of Peoria" Chris
Carr for Peoria GNC wins and
his legions of fans have justifi-
ably proclaimed him to be "King
Henry."
As the day wore on it became
obvious that Wiles and his Willy
Built/Mad Dog Racing/DPC
Racing-backed, DTX-looking
Kawasaki were the team to beat.
When Wiles led the 52-lap main
over the jump on the first lap it
became a race for second.
