but nothing too crazy."
In the mud-soaked second
moto, Savatgy started near the
tail of the top 10 and clawed his
way up to fourth in the short-
ened event.
"We're up here, so I'd say
we're doing pretty well," Savatgy
said, after grabbing second
overall on the day. "[My foot]
is painful, but I'll live. My start
wasn't what we needed and kind

a lapper and injured his foot,
which hindered him in moto two.
"I just got into it with a lap-

"For sure, it was a tough

my tear-offs pretty quick, but I
managed to get it back together
and take fifth in the moto and
just score some more points."
Then there's Monster Energy
Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Joey
Savatgy. He was riding a two-
race winning streak coming into
Unadilla, and he inherited the
lead from his teammate Ciancia-
rulo in moto one when AC went
down. Savatgy won the moto,
and was looking good to make it
three in a row in terms of overall
victories. But near the end of the
Joey Savatgy (17) won the first
250MX moto but struggled a bit in
the second with an injured foot.
