by a large 11.9-second margin,
but that's what happened in the
first race Saturday. Benjamin
Smith (Quarterley Racing On
Track Development) simply blew
everyone away. His nearest rival
was Cory Ventura (CSVMoto),
who really wasn't that near him at
the finish.
Brett Voorhees got on the
podium for the first time in
third, while Jackson Blackmon
(Smith's teammate) finished out
the race in fourth. Tyler Linders
(Roadracing World Wild Card
Team) rounded out the top five.
Ventura, however, turned the
tables on Smith on Sunday by
beating him to the flag by 0.394
of a second to win his third KTM
race of the season. Ventura
chased Smith down and passed
him for the exciting win.
