After finishing 14th in the first
250MX moto, Troy Lee Designs
Lucas Oil Red Bull KTM's Sean
Cantrell was hoping for a better
result in the second moto, but it
only got worse. He went down
in the first turn and had to call
it a day from there, recording a
DNF.
On the final lap of the second
moto, only two turns from the
finish, Marvin Musquin nearly
crashed. "Well, you kind of
know you can crash at any-
time," Musquin said of racing
in the mud. "And then one mis-
take and I lost the balance, but
I keep it pinned and just didn't
let off the gas. I kept it straight.
Obviously when you're leading
it's always better. And once
again, when you win it's always
fun. But it was really muddy."
Rocky Mountain ATV-MC
KTM's Blake Baggett was in
the championship hunt until
he injured his left thumb at
RedBud. Still, he has pushed
through the injury, which he
says is definitely going to re-
quire surgery at the end of the
series. "You know, it's a dream
that you want to race and be-
come a champion when you're
a little kid," Baggett said. "It's
just par for the course and I'm
just trying to give it everything
I've got."
Briefly...
Justin Cooper made his pro debut one
to remember by getting second in the
second 250MX moto.
