CHAMPIONSHIP
C
ameron Beaubier came home
to roost and pulled his first
double win of the year in
dominant fashion. Sonoma Raceway,
located just a few miles from Beau-
bier's own back yard, was unstoppable
at his home track, topping both legs
by a comfortable margin over points
leader Toni Elias. Even though retain-
ing the number-one plate might be out
of reach at this point in the champion-
ship, Beaubier isn't about to give up,
and demonstrated as such this week-
end in Northern California.
SUPERBIKE / SUPERSTOCK 1000 | SATURDAY
Beaubier was simply unbeatable in
Saturday's race one. After winning
Superpole, he got out in front from the
get-go and never let up, crossing the
finish line with a comfortable six-sec-
ond lead over championship rival Elias.
