Yamaha's Justin Cooper, of
Cold Springs Harbor, New York,
topped both the 250 A and
Open Pro Sport classes, win-
ning four of six total motos and
thrilling the crowd with massive
jumps into the sandy, sweep-
ing turn on the infield. After the
race, it was announced that
Cooper will join the Yamalube/
Star Racing Yamaha team and
be on the starting gate at this
weekend's Unadilla round of the
Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Cham-
pionships.
The two riders to take moto
wins from Cooper were Florida's
Jordan Bailey in the Open Pro
Sport class and Texas rider
Challen Tennant in the 250 A
group. Husqvarna's Bailey was
the overall runner-up in 250 A
with 5-5-2 moto scores, while
Michigan's Joey Crown was
the vice-champion in Open Pro
Sport with a 5-2-8 tally.
