"I knew I didn't really have
much for Jared or Briar. I tried
to get up there off the starts and
try to rattle them a little bit," said
Johnson. "Luckily, I had a good
enough pace to keep Sammy
[Halbert] behind me."
Halbert, who had somehow
overcome his challenges for the
day, had moved all the way up
from the third row to a fourth-
place finish. Bronson Bauman

topped off a solid day with a fifth-
place finish over three seconds
ahead of Brad Baker, who had
Kayl Kolkman right on his heels.
Jeffrey Carver, Rob Pearson,
and Mikey Rush rounded out the
top 10.

The last restart came with
10 laps to go and saw Bauman
regain his momentum and pull to
a comfortable lead of over two
seconds over Mees and John-
son, the latter of whom was able

kept me calm and said, 'what do
we need to work on?' We got
that lined out and then Dave Mc-
Grath walked over and said this
will revert back a lap because of
the oil and you went down be-
cause of the oil, so you get to go
The Singles class gets down to business.
There was lots to celebrate on the
Twins podium, mainly Bauman's
second win of the year, and Johnson's
first podium of the year.
