I have blinders on my helmet
but I can hear the V-twin engine
coming on strong. In the past,
I've had a tendency to look over
but when I do it I get yelled at by
my dad so I don't do it anymore.
That race was so close that even
if I'd have looked over, I wouldn't
have been able to tell who was
going to win anyway. It was best

exciting. Going into the final, I
was talking with my dad [Gary]
and Tim [Kulungian, crew chief]
and they convinced me that if I
stayed focused and cut a good
reaction time we should be able
to win.
