Route 66 in Kingman, Arizona,
is Hualapai Mountain Park. Situ-
ated at over 6000 feet elevation, the
park features great elevation chang-
es, soft dirt, and big boulders. These
obstacles greeted the world's best
trials riders for the USA round of the
2017 TrialGP World Championship.
This was the sixth stop in the men's
world championships, and round one
for the women's world champion-
ship. The event featured four different
classes: Men's and Women's Trial
GP, and Men's and Women's Trial 2.
Friday featured practice and quali-
fying. Qualifying was a great show for
the fans that attended. Scoring for
qualifying was based first on the num-
ber of points scored (lower is better)
and, in case of a tie, the deciding
factor was time through the qualifying
course. The course was easy enough
for the top pros to not have to dab,
so it became a time trial through the
obstacles with Spain's Jaime Busto
(Repsol Honda) coming out on top for
the men and Britain's Emma Bristow
