ed Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin came out swinging
in the 2017 Lucas Oil/AMA 450MX Pro Motocross
Championship, but a knee injury just a few rounds
into the series left him reeling in the title chase. Slowly,
his knee got better, and so did he, and after some
changes to his bike setup, Musquin has been outright
dominant for the last four motos in a row, including both
motos at Washougal.
And in the 250MX class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit
Kawasaki's Joey Savatgy has come from out of nowhere
to win two overalls in a row. At Washougal, Savatgy put
up a 7-1 score, an unusual combo for an overall victory,
but his second-moto performance showed that whatever
settings he and his team found prior to the Millville round
last weekend are still working.
