MOTOCROSS
LUCAS OIL/AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 8 / JULY 22, 2017
MILLVILLE, MINNESOTA / SPRING CREEK RACEWAY
P70
"I grew up here, and I've spun a lot of laps, but
I tell you what, I've never seen the track like this,"
Alex said. "This was brutal. It was a true man's
track today. It was good. Zach's riding really well,
and a 2-4 for second overall, I'll take it, but I just
need a little bit more. I was hoping to get it today,
but we were in the hunt, but my reaction off the
gate that time was a little bit off, and I had to come
from the back and eat some roost that time."
"Zach had some better lines on the second half
of the track," Savatgy said.
If odds were given out prior to Millville, it
would've been easy to bet that one of the Martin
boys, Jeremy or Alex, would've come away the
victor on the backyard track. But it wasn't to be.
The best of the two boys was older brother Alex,
who took his TLD/Red Bull KTM to a 2-4 score for
second overall on the day.
The 250MX class
leaves the start line
in the second moto.
