MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS ROUND 7 / JULY 8, 2017 THE WICK 338 / SOUTHWICK, MASSACHUSETTS P94 was pretty easy. I got a really good start and just tried to manage Dylan [Ferrandis] there in the beginning, and he had a couple times where I thought he might get me, but I managed to block him, and then he made a mistake and I was able to pull away to a nice win." Osborne says he was thinking about his time in the GPs while he was under those conditions. "I definitely thought about some long, tough, demoralizing days at Lommel while I was out there, but this place doesn't really compare to that." Osborne said. "But it's a great sand track, and I love coming here. It's never been that great to me, but this year's different for me." 250MX Zach Osborne is simply running away with the 250MX champion- ship. He had to fight his way through the field in moto one to finish a solid second to sand-racing veteran and former GP competitor Dylan Ferran- dis, but he put himself out front early in moto two, blocked some advanc- es from Ferrandis, and then when the skies opened up during the moto, it played right into his hands and he ran away with the race. "It changed pretty quick; it got pretty slick on the base, but I was loving it," Osborne said of the rain. "That's my game right there. I enjoy riding in the rain, and in the sand, and just enjoying myself. It Zach Osborne led the whole way in the second 250MX moto.
