was pretty easy. I got a really good
start and just tried to manage Dylan
[Ferrandis] there in the beginning,
and he had a couple times where
I thought he might get me, but I
managed to block him, and then he
made a mistake and I was able to
pull away to a nice win."
Osborne says he was thinking
about his time in the GPs while he
was under those conditions.
"I definitely thought about some
long, tough, demoralizing days at
Lommel while I was out there, but
this place doesn't really compare to
that." Osborne said. "But it's a great
sand track, and I love coming here.
It's never been that great to me, but
this year's different for me."
250MX
Zach Osborne is simply running
away with the 250MX champion-
ship. He had to fight his way through
the field in moto one to finish a solid
second to sand-racing veteran and
former GP competitor Dylan Ferran-
dis, but he put himself out front early
in moto two, blocked some advanc-
es from Ferrandis, and then when
the skies opened up during the
moto, it played right into his hands
and he ran away with the race.
"It changed pretty quick; it got
pretty slick on the base, but I was
loving it," Osborne said of the
rain. "That's my game right there. I
enjoy riding in the rain, and in the
sand, and just enjoying myself. It
