out on the starting line. I put up
a fight, but it only lasted one
lap, that first lap was intense
side by side on the bottom of
the racetrack. When the green
light flashed it was Halbert off
the very inside and Brad Baker

the line first.
Mees blasted to the front as
he and Halbert slid high, in front
of Baker, stalling out his drive.
Halbert squared off the exit of
turn two and he and Mees were
elbow to elbow all the way down
the back straight. Halbert had
the inside going into three, but
Mees dove under exiting four
and the race was decided right
there.
