43 JACK MILLER 15TH MOTOGP
Tire issues slowed Jack Miller (Team Estrella Gaticia O,O Marc VDS),
but he left Germany with a few points. "The front tire was fine for the race
distance but the rear was a different matter; it just didn't work the way I ex-
pected it to after practice," he said. "The tire was spinning on both sides
from the start and three laps into the race it felt like it had already done
the 30-lap race distance. And with so many left-hand turns with 10 laps to
go I was pretty much out of grip; it was a strange feeling. I was expecting
a really strong race here so this is a disappointing result but I go to the
summer break determined to return with a strong finish to the season."
44 MIGUEL OLIVEIRA 2ND MOTO2
"Today Franco [Morbidelli] was very strong under braking," said Red Bull
KTM Ajo's Miguel Oliveira. "I tried to overtake him on the downhill section
a couple of times and also during the last lap, but it wasn't to be. In any
case, we are very strong and have already taken many top-five finishes
this year. I had been wanting to return to the podium for the last two
races, and here we have taken another small step forward towards the top
positions. The whole weekend has been amazing; I am very happy for the
whole team and for myself."
41 BRAD BINDER 7TH MOTO2
"Today went very well," said Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) of his best
placing of the year. "I came into the race with great confidence after the
warm-up and I thought 'today could be a great day.' I pushed my hard-
est and I took advantage of having a good feeling. At first I found it a
little hard, because I was a bit far back, but it's great to see that I'm also
capable of making good comebacks in Moto2—even if we have to do bet-
ter in qualifying. I'm happy because at the end of the race my pace was
very good; I just have to work a little on my riding to continue taking steps
forward. It's the closest I've finished to the front."

By one-third distance Rossi
was fourth, and Petrucci starting
to drop back, his tires finished.
Dovizioso was pressing the Yama-
ha, but only got ahead once over
the line. At the same time, Vinales
had gained confidence, and had
joined the pair by half distance.
On lap 20, two-thirds distance,
he moved inside Rossi at the last
corner, and had secured fourth.
At the same time, Alvaro Bautista
had tagged onto the group—after
picking his way through impres-
sively, and three laps later he put
his Pull & Bear Ducati ahead of
