"I kid you not, when I saw
five [laps] to go, I never started
counting down so slowly in my
life. I didn't want to look back be-
cause I was sure they'd be right
behind me," added Bauman. "I
was happy to bring it home and
get my first Twins main. This was
something you dream of your
whole life, and you question if
it's going to happen or not. I'm
happy it actually happened."
Fisher was able to pass
first Smith back, then Wiles
on the last lap for fourth, his
best AFT Twins result. Smith
soldiered home in sixth. Ryan
Wells (Briggs Auto.com/Martin
Trucking Harley-Davidson) was
able to slip his XR750 past the
XG750R of Brandon Robinson
(Harley-Davidson Motor Com-
pany/Vance & Hines) on the last
lap for seventh. Johnny Lewis
(Lloyd Brother Motorsports/Dil-
lard Family Racing Ducati) and
Bronson Bauman, who was mak-
ing his debut on the Bill Werner
Racing Kawasaki, filled out the
top 10.
AFT SINGLES
The AFT Singles main was
similar to the AFT Twins main.
Parker Norris (Racin' Jason

Honda) grabbed the holeshot
and slipped off to a growing lead
by running the very top of the
racetrack. "I just wanted to hold
it open and rail the top," said
Norris.
I don't want to say I was to the
point that I was tired, but I was
thinking 'I need to back this thing
down because I think I have a
gap.' I looked back a little bit and
saw that I had a huge gap. When
you get off of your pace you start
messing up. I definitely slowed
