A freak accident occurred and Joan Taylor and Sharon Hirsh were seriously injured. The third rider Joannie Polaski rode for help. She searched out Dr. Broussard, his daughter, Liz, Diane Beck an R.N ., and Jim Lancaster of the DRA. With their swift assistance the two women were transferre d to the Antelope Valley Hospital. We would like to express our sincere thanks to these people for their unselfishness in responding to the immediate needs of the two injured women. Good news from the Rockies The Colorado Division of Parks opera tes an area strictly for motorcycle use (Arapahoe Motorized Sta te Recreation Area) and is co nsidering opening a new area for motorcycle use at Chatfield State Recreation Area. We are trying to promote interest in Arapahoe, and in the sport in general. We are very interested in having organized races at the area and in getting imput about it from various motorcycle groups.
