be strong enough words
for the Indian Motorcycle
Race Team. The three-rider power-
house has now won all eight rounds of
the American Flat Track Series. Rem-
ington Park in Oklahoma City hosted
the latest race, the OKC Mile.
Defending Grand National Cham-
pion Bryan Smith (Indian Motorcycle/
Allstate Motorcycle Insurance) and
Jared Mees (Indian Motorcycle/
Rogers Racing) have dominated the
season thus far and entered the night
tied in points. Junior member of the
crew, Brad Baker (Indian Motorcycle/
Allstate Motorcycle Insurance), has
been on the cusp of victory several
times, only to fall victim to one of his
teammates.
It certainly appeared that tonight
would be Baker's night when he got
an excellent start in the 25-lap main
event. Baker quickly opened a gap on
Smith, Sammy Halbert (Estenson Rac-
ing) and Mees.
