IN THE WIND P28 BETA UNVEILS 2018 250/300RR B eta's 2018 250 and 300 RR two-stroke off-roaders get a major overhaul for the new model year. The biggest news is that they are 10 pounds lighter, and 3.7 of those pounds come from the engine alone. Just about everything in the engine has been reworked, including the new clutch, transmission, airbox and start- ing system, which Beta says is reliable enough that they feel confident in eliminating the backup kickstart lever. (You can, however, still order them with manual kickstart). The chassis gets a major overhaul, as well. The frame has been re-worked, the fork is all-new and the shock has new settings. The 250 and 300 RR are scheduled to arrive in August. Despite all of the changes, MSRP remains the same— $8499 for both. CN The 2018 Beta 250 and 300 RR two-stroke off-roaders get a major overhaul without a price increase.
