2018 STAR VENTURE FIRST LOOK P52 Yamaha claims the engine, held in place by an aluminum frame, pumps out 126 lb-ft of torque, distributed to the rear wheel via a six- speed transmission. At 75 mph in sixth gear, Yamaha says the Star Venture cruises along at "an ultra-smooth" 2750 rpm. Fuel range is said to be approximately 220 miles via its 6.6-gallon fuel tank. It has a seven-inch full-color LCD touchscreen and an audio system that can play pre-recorded music or stream Pandora from a smart phone via the onboard USB, AUX stereo or Bluetooth wire- less connection options. The side cases, top cases and upper and lower fairing storage compartments provide a combined total of 37.3 gallons of storage. The rear trunk can easily store two large full-coverage helmets. A Transcontinental Option Package includes GPS navigation, a CB radio system, SiriusXM, and an extra pair of high-output passenger speak- ers and Yamaha's exclusive Dual Zone audio con- trol. You also get LED fog lamps, an additional pair of storage compartments for the passenger and an alarmed security system. The all-new Star Venture will be available in Granite Gray and Raspberry Metallic at Yamaha dealers beginning in August 2017 with a MSRP of $24,999 for base models, and $26,999 for mod- els equipped with the Transcontinental Option Package. Authorized Yamaha dealers will begin taking orders through a Priority Delivery Program starting June 5, 2017. CN The Star Venture will be available in two colors: Granite Gray and Raspberry Metallic. Base price: $24,999.
