MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS ROUND 2 / MAY 27, 2017 GLEN HELEN RACEWAY / SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA P62 SHAKE UP KAWASAKI HAS A TOUGH DAY AT GLEN HELEN AND KTM NOW LEADS BOTH CHAMPIONSHIPS F ollowing an opening weekend in the 2017 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Champion- ships, where Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac seemed to be so dominant that he could win no matter where he started, round two at Glen Helen must have come as a surprise to just about everybody—not the least of whom may have been Tomac himself. Glen Helen put both Tomac and his teammate (and hometown boy) Josh Grant through the wringer, but the classic California racetrack wasn't done there. In the 250MX class, the hills of Glen Helen even did a number on the most successful race team in the history of the 125/250MX class, forcing three out of the four Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasakis out of one moto each.
