TOP 1 ACK ATTACK TEAM
ANNOUNCES BOLIVIA RUN
F
or many years now, the Top 1 Oil ACK Attack
land-speed racing team has been striving to
reach 400 mph. The team, with driver Rocky
Robinson, currently owns the all-time two-wheel
land-speed record at 376.4 mph, and believes
they are able to crack the 400 mph barrier with
their streamliner, the Top 1 ACK Attack. The only
thing missing from their winning formula is some
decent salt to do it on.
Utah's Bonnville Salt Flats have not been
cooperating, so Mike Akatiff and the Top 1 Oil
team have scouted a new location, this one in
Bolivia in South America, to attempt their new
world record run. The Uyuni Salt Flats sit high
in the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 12,000
feet, and dwarf the size of the Bonneville Salt
Flats at a massive 4000 square miles (nearly the
size of Los Angeles County). The thick, expan-
sive salt flats are an ideal setting for the team's
attempt, which they plan to make in August of
this year. The Top 1 ACK Attack team has invited
three other open-wheel bikes to join them in their
adventure, naming it the Top of the world Land
Speed Trial. Click here for more on the ACK At-
tack team.

MILLSAPS SIDELINED
D
avi Millsaps did not compete in the opening
round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross
Championship at Hangtown, May 20, and it looks
like Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM Team
member be sitting out much of the series.
Millsaps, who finished fifth in 2017 Monster
Energy AMA Supercross Championship, will
undergo surgery on both his wrists that gave him
pain throughout the supercross season. One of
the injuries was carried over from last year and the
other happened during supercross.
Millsaps recently posted on his Instagram page: "Little update for everyone,
as most of you know I suffered wrist injuries this year during SX and had to ride
through pain. That wasn't fun, but we had a good SX season and I can't thank my
team enough, but now it's time for me to get both wrists fixed so I can get back
to 100%. I'm not missing all of MX, that's for sure, so I will be back and I will keep
you guys updated on my progress." CN
