MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 1 / MAY 20, 2017 HANGTOWN MX / RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIFORNIA P82 My Own Race: 51 JUSTIN BARCIA (11-5) 9TH 450MX JGR Suzuki's Justin Barcia has been struggling all year since returning from a broken wrist during the supercross series, and in moto one things compounded at Hangtown with an early fall. He managed to come from the back of the pack to 11th in the first moto, and despite the amount of energy that took in the Hangtown heat, he was still able to manage a top-five in moto two after starting up near the front. "I crashed [in] the first moto, and charged hard, then I rode good that last moto and was up front pretty good," Barcia said. "I rode my best. It's been a tough go, but my whole JGR Autotrader Suzuki team's been working hard, and I thank Monster, Arai, Scott, Alpinestars and everybody for sticking behind me. I've been busting my butt. It was a hot day out here, and unfortu- nately the first moto wasn't so good, but the second moto was better, and we're just going to keep on building." Aaron Plessinger got on the 250MX podium with 3-5 moto scores.
