MOTOCROSS JUNIORMOTOX INDOOR AMATEUR MOTOCROSS MAY 11-14, 2017 LAZY E ARENA / GUTHRIE, OKLAHOMA P96 In a storybook ending, Ty Masterpool, Jesse's younger brother, took the win in the Jesse Cup, named after his brother, to bring the event to a close. Ty prevailed over Jeremy Ryan (whose father, Rick Ryan, won the 1987 Daytona Supercross as a true pri- vateer) and Joshua Varize, who had a solid night that included four podium finishes. If you are a fan of AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross, you might want to make note of these names as you will likely see many of them battling for pro wins in the not-so-distant future. CN nated the 250cc A and 250cc Pro Sport classes on his Yamaha, and in the B class- es, Carter Halpain also won both the Stock and Modified classes on his Yamahas. Stockton Stinebaugh kept the Yamaha streak going with wins in both the 250cc C Stock and Modified classes. Katie Benson was the dominant female rider. She grabbed wins in both the Girls 9-13 and Girls 12-16 classes on her Kawa- saki. Yamaha's Jordan Jarvis won the Women 14-18 class and has aspirations to qualify for a 250 AMA Supercross in the coming years. Four-time Supercross Champion Ryan Villopoto hosted the track walk. Katie Benson won both the Girls 9-11 and 12-16 classes.
