SUPERCROSS ROUND 16 / APRIL 29, 2017 METLIFE STADIUM / EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY P84 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES 48 CHRISTIAN CRAIG 5TH 250SX EAST Geico Honda's Christian Craig wasn't happy with fifth, and he was technically sixth on the track. "Another not great night for me," Craig said. "I ended up finishing in the top five after Savatgy got penalized. I felt awesome in my heat race and stayed on Zach the entire race so I was pumped on that. In the main, I got a pretty good start, I was in about fourth. My first couple laps, I went into safety mode for some reason, I didn't ride like myself right away, which hurt me. Once I got into a flow, I passed Adam [Cianciarulo] but then missed the triple so he got me back. Another race with the same story, I feel like." 128 CAMERON MCADOO 10TH 250SX EAST The Geico Honda team picked up SX rookie Cameron McAdoo prior to the New Jersey round, and he matched his best career finish so far. "East Rutherford had its ups and downs for me but it was a night that we can and will definitely build off of," McAdoo said. "I got good starts in both my heat and my main which I was happy about. In the main I rode pretty tight, but it was great to get back to racing after missing a few weeks due to [my] hand injury. The bike and team are awesome! It took me some time getting used to the track, it was so soft and rutted all day which made for some challenging racing for all of us." 36 ADAM CIANCIARULO 4TH 250SX EAST Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo started out the night with his third heat-race win of the year, then grabbed the holeshot in the main on his way to fourth. "The day started pretty good and I'm always happy to get a heat-race win," Cianciarulo said. "I really wish I was able to hold on to the lead in the main, but the track was tricky and there were certain sections that if you didn't get it just right, you lost time. I have one more round to get that second win and we'll be trying our hardest." 17 JOEY SAVATGY 8TH 250SX EAST Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Joey Savatgy finished third, but a penalty for cutting the track after he crashed into a different racing lane ended up costing him the points lead going into the finale, where he now trails by one point in the title chase. "I don't give up and after barely losing last year, I won't go down without a fight," Savatgy said. "This week, we'll keep our heads down and work hard to come to Las Vegas at our best." 21 JASON ANDERSON 3RD 450SX Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Jason Anderson got another podium finish, but was disappointed about what could've been, as he had the early lead and then threw it away with a crash. "To be honest, I felt really solid out there," Anderson said. "I was leading and then over- jumped that triple a little bit and lost the front end. I'm excited that I was able to rebound, come back up and get a podium. At the same time, I don't want to keep getting third and fourth. I'm tired of it. Awe- some to be up here with these guys that I train with, but at the same time, I want to go up there and win. I'm really pumped for Marvin [Musquin], pumped for Ryan [Dungey] to get the red plate back, but I'm striving for more. I'm going to keep striving and go for that last win in Vegas."
