IN THE WIND P52 MUSQUIN RE-UPS WITH KTM K TM announced at the New Jersey Supercross that Marvin Musquin has signed a two-year contract extension to re- main with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. The Frenchman will be with the team through the 2019 season. "It's a real pleasure to extend my con- tract with KTM. We've been through a lot together in the past nine years but we have also had great successes," Musquin said. "I'm really excited to continue working on reaching my goals with their support." After winning the AMA Supercross 250SX East Championship on the KTM 250 SX-F Factory Edition in 2015, Musquin moved up to the premier 450 division in 2016, where he most recently reached a mile- stone with his career-first victory in the 450SX class aboard the KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition. Musquin currently sits third overall in the 450SX Championship with two wins under his belt in 2017, and the team looks to continue that success into the AMA Pro Motocross Championship begin- ning May 20. "I am extremely happy that we could re-sign Marvin for another two years as he has become a real friend and strong part of our KTM family," commented KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer. "We are together now since 2010 and it has been an outstanding relation. Together we reached World Championship titles, AMA titles and this year we could celebrate our first 450 Supercross win. I am really proud to say that Marvin is a true KTM family member for another two years." CN Marvin Musuqin will be riding orange through the end of 2019. MASK-WEARING MOTORCYCLIST SEEKING RELIEF I n Baton Rouge, Louisiana, motorcyclists claiming they were cited under the state's mask-wearing ban are seeking relief from state lawmakers, according to the AMA. The state ABATE organization says one officer in particular has been ticketing motorcyclists whose helmets and face shields concealed their faces. H.B. 161, introduced by state Rep. Alan Seabaugh (R-Shreveport), would exempt motorcyclists from the law that bans people from hiding their faces in public, except on Halloween or Mardi Gras or for religious reasons. CN Show your face or get a ticket.
