CN III VOICES W H A T Y O U A R E S A Y I N G "So now comes the question: Is he going to carry this momentum into the MX Nationals?" SLC Supercross SLC has proven that Eli Tomac is, without a doubt, the fastest supercross rider on the planet. This guy is absolutely solid. I do not think Ken Roczen could have dealt with him either. The Supercross Championship is now Eli's to lose. So now comes the ques- tion: Is he going to carry this momentum into the MX Nation- als? With a couple years' more maturity under his belt, I believe he will. Hopefully that maturity has taught him race manage- ment skills, keeping his urge to push to the very end under control. If he dominates this as he has SX, he will be the fast- est man on the planet. It will be interesting to see what he does at Gatorback, Florida, USGP and hopefully, the Motocross of Nations. Jim Bunch Tomac had one of the most impressive rides ever. What he did was amazing to watch. I was there live and could not believe how fast he was. Defi- nitely worth the watch! Christin McCurdy Did Eli Tomac just raise the bar two notches, or what? This could be a long, long summer unless someone can step it up. Dungey, Cooper, Musquin, anyone, please! At least the 250 class should be good, I don't see anyone running away with that. I bet we'll have five or six different winners. Dale Barter Congratulations to Justin Hill for winning the 250 West Supercross Championship. Justin proved what hard work and determination can do, and nobody deserves the champi- onship more than him. Way to go, Justin! Robert Torres Archives: George Kerker I read Larry Lawrence's piece on George Kerker and there were two items that needed to be mentioned. First, that George sold his company to Dick Raczuk of Kendick Kart- ing, where it went after that, to Lyn Abrams (whose Superbike Team I managed for a short time—Steve McLaughlin and Harry Klinzmann on Z-1s) or whomever… Second, was that after his girlfriend was injured, George actually took the time to become a licensed "Nurse" (whether LVN or RN) so that he could take care of her! He didn't simply walk away or leave her care to others. That is honor and devotion! Richard T. Haight PHOTOGRAPHY BY HOPPENWORLD.COM Justin Hill, your 2017 250SX West Champion.
