BLOSE WINS DENVER ARENACROSS
A
fter a two-week break, the
Amsoil Arenacross Series
resumed in Denver, Colorado,
April 22, at the Denver Coliseum
with Chris Blose (Rockstar En-
ergy OTSFF Yamaha) claiming
the overall victory, going 1-4 in
the two main events. Blose and
Ben Lamay (Team TiLube/Jack's
Links/Tuff Racing Honda) actu-
ally tied on points when all was
said and done, but Blose's vic-
tory in the Head-To-Head Chal-
lenge earlier in the evening was
the tipping point for Blose. The
point he earned for the Head-to-
Head win tilted things in his favor
for the overall, and as a result,
he came away with the big win.
It was not, however, enough
to catch points leader Gavin
Faith (Team Babbitt's/Monster
Energy/Amsoil Kawasaki) in the
2017 250AX standings, but it did
close the gap to just five points
with only one round left.
Faith didn't quite make the
podium on the night, much of
which had to do with a second-
race bobble that dropped him
from fifth in the race to eighth.
He finished out the second main
in fifth, which, combined with
a first-race second, put him in
fourth overall at the end of the
night.
Jace Owen, who led the
points race going into the Race
for the Ricky Carmichael Cup
last month, was third overall and
gained a few points on Faith.
Owen (Tuff Racing Honda)
closed out the night with an ex-
citing win in the second final. He
passed his Honda teammate,
Lamay, on the last lap to take
the win by less than a second!
Travis Sewell (Kawasaki) was

Chris Blose (2)

Denver. He held
on to take the
overall victory.
