IN THE WIND P38 BRADSHAW ON TRACK F ormer factory Yamaha rider Damon Bradshaw competed in his first GNCC at last week's round in Morganton, North Carolina (Bradshaw's home state). And it appears that's he'll be suiting up for this weekend's race in Society Hill, South Carolina. Bradshaw rode a GasGas in the Sports- man A class, but had to make an "unexpected pit stop" that slowed his progress. He posted on social media, "Ran my first GNCC on the 2017 GasGas Motos last week- end. Had to make an unexpected pit stop that docked me 30 minutes, but got back on the track and still managed to get 5 laps in. Still polishing the suspension, but it was great for testing. I learned a lot and will be ready for the CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet GNCC at Society Hill next weekend!" CN JOIN JESSY O n August 13, 2016, 22-year-old Jessy Nelson suffered a devastating crash, clipping a track marker at the Unadilla round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Nationals. His bike hit him from behind, breaking his T4 and T5 vertebrae and stretching his spinal cord, resulting in paralysis. As a talented athlete, Jessy is no stranger to welcoming a challenge, pushing himself to grow and stay positive. Since the accident, he's been working hard—proving he's dedicated to progress and not willing to give up anytime soon. Nelson's story resonates with so many, particularly with those aware of and involved with the Wings For Life World Run. As the world's only global simultaneous running and wheelchair race (May 7, 2017), Wings For Life World Run raises funds and awareness for spinal cord injury research and cure. Nelson has joined up as an ambassador and inspiring participant, helping to throw a spotlight on the importance of unity and strength in sports and in life. Holding his own Wings For Life Run, via the Organized App Run, in Southern California, Nel- son will be joining hundreds of thousands on May 7 in the U.S. and worldwide, to run for those who can't. To participate in the Southern California location, whether in a team or as an individual, in Santa Clarita, California, on May 7, at 4:00 a.m., click here. CN Jessy Nelson will be a ambassador for the Wings For Life Run, in Santa Clarita, California, next month. Damon Bradshaw has been getting his feet wet in GNCC racing lately.
